Job Description:

• 1) Sets up battery of machines that trim small arms cartridge cases and artillery shell cases to specified length: Installs cutters and adjusts stops and cams to regulate machine stroke and synchronize movements of feeding, cutting, and ejection mechanisms, using handtools.

• 2) Sharpens dulled cutters and polishes scratched punches, using bench grinder, speed lathe, and emery cloth.

• 3) Removes housings, guards, feed tubes, chutes, tool holders, and other accessories to replace worn or broken parts, such as springs, bushings, and push-rods.
