- 1) Tends shaker that sizes crushed coal, ore, or rock for industrial use or for further processing: Opens and closes chute gates to regulate flow of materials onto shaker table.
- 2) Picks out refuse and impurities.
- 3) Unclogs conveyors and screens, and shovels spillage onto conveyors or screens.
- 4) May change screens.
- 5) May collect and label batch samples for quality control inspection.
