Job Description:
- 1) Sets up, adjusts, and repairs group of textile machines: Transmits orders of SUPERVISOR Master Title of section to workers and ensures that orders and safety rules are followed.
- 2) Patrols section to inspect work for quality and to determine operating condition of machinery.
- 3) Reads production meters or tickets and records total number of units produced.
- 4) Examines laboratory sample reports to determine machine adjustments needed to meet company specifications.
- 5) Adjusts and repairs machines.
- 6) Trains new workers and assigns workers to stations.
- 7) May be designated according to section as Section Leader And Machine Setter, Cards; Section Leader And Machine Setter, Drawing And Combers; Section Leader And Machine Setter, Opening And Picking; Section Leader And Machine Setter, Roving Frames; Section Leader And Machine Setter, Spinning; Section Leader And Machine Setter, Winding And Twisting.
