Job Description:

  • 1) Collects evidence at scene of crime or fatal accident, classifies and identifies fingerprints, and photographs evidence for use in criminal and civil cases: Dusts selected areas of crime scene to locate and reveal latent fingerprints.

  • 2) Lifts prints from crime site, using special tape.

  • 3) Photographs crime or accident scene to obtain record of evidence.

  • 4) Photographs, records physical description, and fingerprints homicide victims and suspects for identification purposes.

  • 5) Classifies and files fingerprints FINGERPRINT CLASSIFIER.

  • 6) Develops film and prints, using photographic developing equipment.

  • 7) Submits evidence to COMMANDER, IDENTIFICATION AND RECORDS for cataloging.
