Job Description:
- 1) Pours molten metal from ladle into molds to produce metal castings: Tilts ladle or opens pouring spout by turning handwheel or moving levers to pour metal into sand molds.
- 2) Skims slag off molten metal, using strainer device, or tilts ladle to dump out slag.
- 3) May move ladle from cupola or furnace to work station, manually or using overhead monorail or chain fall.
- 4) May be designated according to type of ladle used as Pourer, Buggy Ladle; Pourer, Bull Ladle; Pourer, Crane Ladle; Pourer, Crucible.
