Job Description:

  • 1) Lubricates moving parts of automotive vehicles, such as automobiles, buses, and trucks: Injects grease into units, such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun.

  • 2) Inspects fluid level of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.

  • 3) Checks air pressure of tires.

  • 4) Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.

  • 5) Drains oil from crankcase and refills crankcase with required amount of oil.

  • 6) Sprays leaf springs with lubricant, using spray gun.

  • 7) Adds water to radiator and battery.

  • 8) Replaces oil and air filters.

  • 9) May sell lubrication and safety inspection services and maintain related records on regular customers, following up periodically with telephone, mail, or personal reminders.
