Job Description:
- 1) Lubricates diesel or electric loading shovel at strip mine or quarry: Oils and greases bearings, cables, gears, and other friction areas, using grease gun and oilcan.
- 2) Assists in routine maintenance and repair of machine.
- 3) May shovel dirt and coal to keep bench clear.
- 4) May keep power cable clear of treads as shovel moves into position.
- 5) May guide trucks into loading position, using hand or voice signals.
