Job Description:

• 1) Inspects poise of watch balance wheels to determine if mass of wheel is equally distributed around balance wheel staff, using poising tools and loupe: Mounts wheel in poising tool that supports staff on knife edges as wheel is rotated in channel, using tweezers.

• 2) Observes rotating wheel to verify evenness of turning, using loupe.

• 3) Removes screw from uneven or heavy area of wheel and mills screw to decrease weight, using hand milling tool.
