Job Description:

• 1) Tends several single-spindle winding frames that wind strands of bonded glass fiber produced on fiber machines onto tubes for further processing: Slips empty tubes on spindles of winding machines, and fastens ends of fiber strand, handed down from floor above by FIBER-MACHINE TENDER, to each tube.

• 2) Starts machines.

• 3) Stops spindles when winding tubes are full, breaks off strand of fiber, and slides full winding tube from spindle.
