Job Description:

• 1) Assists CORE-DRILL OPERATOR in setting up and operating drilling equipment to obtain core samples used in determining geological character of ground, nature of ore, or strength of foundation material: Labels samples of strata indicating area and depth from which sample was obtained.

• 2) Lubricates machines and assists in making repairs to machine and equipment, such as replacing worn winch cables, or adjusting drill stems, engines, and pumps.

• 3) May be designated according to type of drill used as Diamond-Driller Helper.
