Job Description:
- 1) Weighs JOCKEYS and riding equipment before and after each race to ensure that assigned handicapped weights have been carried during race: Weighs rider and saddle on scale to assure that weight is as specified on racing program.
- 2) Directs rider to insert or remove lead pads from saddle pocket to meet specified weight.
- 3) Notifies racing officials of rider unable to meet weight limit.
- 4) Weighs rider and equipment after race to assure that lead pads were not lost during race.
