Job Description:
- 1) Tends machine that wraps and cuts cigarette filter plugs: Installs rolls of filter material and tissue paper on spindles of machine and threads ends between rollers.
- 2) Starts machine and observes machine operation, product, and gauges to detect malfunction.
- 3) Turns setscrew or handwheel to adjust feed mechanism and cutting knives.
- 4) Repairs or replaces worn, damaged, or broken parts, such as pulley belts and cutting knives, using handtools.
- 5) Removes and replaces empty paste cylinders.
- 6) Supplies CATCHER, FILTER TIPS with empty cardboard trays and removes filled trays onto pallet.
