Job Description:
- 1) Operates machine to cut teeth in clock and watch wheels: Clamps wheel blank in chuck of dividing head of machine.
- 2) Mounts and adjusts cutting tools of specified sizes in turret.
- 3) Starts motor, causing turret to rotate tool that cuts out groove in wheel.
- 4) Turns turret to successively blank and cut groove to specified depth and width, using different sized tools.
- 5) Verifies depth and width of cut, using precision gauges, and quality of cut, using jeweler's loupe.
