Job Description:
- 1) Assembles aluminum, plastic, and nylon parts to form venetian blinds, using handtools and power tools: Installs cord lock, cord drum cradle, worm gear, and braces in position within head portion of venetian blind, using pedal-operated riveter or press and handtools.
- 2) Attaches tapes and cords.
- 3) Places required number of slats through loops in tape and threads cord through holes in slats.
- 4) Trims and fastens end of tape to bottom rail.
- 5) Places caps on bottom rail to close ends and secure tape in position.
- 6) Pulls lowering, raising, and turning cords to detect and adjust functioning defects.
- 7) Wraps and packs blinds for shipment.
- 8) May tend power press to form and cut slats, head, and hardware attached within head.
- 9) May assemble shades with vertical louvers and be designated Vertical-Shade Assembler.
