Job Description:
- 1) Sprays protective compound onto chassis and underbody of automobiles and trucks to minimize rust and corrosion and to eliminate noise: Drives vehicle onto overhead rack.
- 2) Removes headlights and other accessories, using handtools.
- 3) Steam cleans or pressure washes underside of vehicle preparatory to application of protective compound.
- 4) Drills holes for interior spraying as required, using electric drill.
- 5) Sprays specified areas of vehicle, using spray gun.
- 6) Inserts plastic plugs to reseal holes subsequent to spraying.
- 7) Replaces accessories and removes overspray and excess seepage from body seams and joints, using cloth and solvents.
- 8) May mask painted or chromed surfaces to prevent exposure to undercoating spray, using tape.
- 9) May spray firewall, underside of hood, and interior of trunk compartment.
