Job Description:
- 1) Operates sand mill that grinds premixed paint ingredients to disperse solid ingredients in vehicle: Starts mixer to combine ingredients settled in portable tub.
- 2) Hangs hose in tub and attaches opposite end to sand mill intake.
- 3) Turns valve to circulate cooling water through jacket to prevent mill overheating.
- 4) Presses buttons to start mill agitator and pump.
- 5) Draws paste sample to test for dispersion, using grind gauge, and adjusts pump speed as indicated by test results.
- 6) Turns lever to open gate and starts pump to discharge ground mixture from machine.
- 7) Washes residue from filter screen, using brush and solvent.
- 8) Starts pump to clean sand mill and hose system, using solvent.
