Job Description:
- 1) Cuts upholstery fabric into squares for use as sample swatches, using electric knife, scissors, and pinking machine: Reads sample list to determine specified fabric and pattern and quantity of swatches to be fabricated.
- 2) Spreads fabric on table in single or multiple layers.
- 3) Positions pattern over fabric to ensure fabric design is on swatch area and traces outline of pattern, using chalk.
- 4) Removes pattern and cuts along outline, using scissors, electric knife, and pinking machine, to form swatch.
- 5) Punches holes in swatches, using drill press.
