Job Description:
- 1) Inspects, repairs, replaces, and modifies soundproofing and sweat proofing equipment aboard drydocked or moored submarines: Inspects submarines to detect hazards or malfunctions.
- 2) Replaces worn or defective rubber and plastic items, such as grommets.
- 3) Sprays soundproofing material on internal submarine walls, using compressor.
- 4) Affixes neoprene sheets to submarine walls.
- 5) Shapes and finishes plastic and rubber items, using handsaws, sanders, grinders, or drill presses.
