Job Description:
- 1) Tends lathe that grinds sapphire jewel-bearing blanks flat on both sides: Applies diamond dust to surface of grinding disk.
- 2) Mounts lap in revolving chuck.
- 3) Inserts single bearings into cavity at base of holder and holds bearings against revolving lap to grind them on one side.
- 4) Mounts several bearings on metal disk coated with adhesive material, and holds disk against lap to grind other side of bearing.
