Job Description:

• 1) Deposits layer of crushed ice on fresh food products packed in barrels, boxes, or crates, to refrigerate them during shipment: Scrapes off surplus ice and passes crate along conveyor system, slides crate to LIDDER, or places lid on container and moves container to storage or shipping area, using handtruck.

• 2) May shovel ice into ice compartment of food distribution trucks.

• 3) May be designated according to container in which product is packed as Box Icer; Crate Icer; or according to product iced as Fish Icer.
