- 1) Sets up machine to split hides into layers: Turns setscrews on machine table to adjust rollers according to specified thickness of hide, using wrench.
- 2) Verifies thickness of layers split from hides, using micrometer.
- 3) Realigns or replaces parts, such as machine belt, knife, and rollers.
- 4) Reads counter and records number of hides split by SPLITTING-MACHINE FEEDER.
