Job Description:

• 1) Cuts bark spots, knots, and diseased and decayed portions from logs or wood blocks, using spudder, ax, hatchet, or portable power saw, to prepare wood for further processing.

• 2) Turns logs and blocks with peavey to expose underside.

• 3) May straighten logs on conveyor, using pike pole.

• 4) May load cleaned blocks on conveyors.
