Job Description:

• 1) Laces and trues-up motorcycle and bicycle wheels according to specifications, using gauges and handtools or power tools: Hooks wire spokes onto perforated hubs and screws nipples of spokes onto rim to lace wheel, using special hand wrench.

• 2) Measures diameter of wheel, using fixed gauge.

• 3) Grinds protruding end of spokes from inside surface of rim, using portable hand grinder.

• 4) Mounts tires on wheels and clamps wheel in fixture.

• 5) Positions dial indicator against tire and rim, turns wheel, and notes points at which wheel needs alignment as indicated by needle deflection on indicator.

• 6) Turns spoke nipples with wrench to adjust tension of spokes at indicated points to align wheel.
