Job Description:

• 1) Tends welt-cutting machine that cuts long narrow leather blockers into smaller sections for use as welts: Places ends of heavy paper strip in machine to cover leather strip when placed in cutting position.

• 2) Positions end of leather strip under paper at point just before paper strip passes over knife, ensuring that edges of leather and paper are flush.

• 3) Guides paper and leather by hand through cutting area to ensure straight line of feed.
