Job Description:

• 1) Fires vehicle mounted Vulcan artillery system during combat and training operations: Drives vehicle to transport Vulcan system into firing position.

• 2) Lifts and carries ammunition from vehicle storage to Vulcan firing platform.

• 3) Inserts ammunition into firing tube to load Vulcan for firing.

• 4) Presses button to engage firing mechanism that automatically fires system.

• 5) Operates support equipment, such as power generators, fire control devices, and radios.

• 6) Repairs and maintains support equipment, using handtools, power tools, and measuring instruments, to ensure optimum operational efficiency.
