Job Description:

• 1) Tends vacuum pan to wash and dry crystallized tetryl powder for further processing into explosives: Opens release valve to transfer tetryl from crystallizer to vacuum pan.

• 2) Fills pan with warm water and turns suction valve to draw off liquid and dissolved impurities, leaving powder to settle in felt bag.

• 3) Shovels and scrapes powder into tub on handtruck.

• 4) May scrape powder into trays and place trays in drying chambers.
