Job Description:

• 1) Tends vacuum driers that heat chemical solids to remove water or other liquids: Observes temperature indicators and vacuum gauges and turns steam valves and sets dials to regulate temperature and vacuum pressure in drier as specified.

• 2) Observes drying material in glass viewer of equipment for conformance with specifications.

• 3) Collects samples of material for laboratory moisture test.

• 4) Records gauge readings, type of material dried, weight, and drying time.
