Job Description:

• 1) Operates lockstitch sewing machine equipped with folder to enclose elastic strip inside fold of fabric at garment opening: Inserts end of elastic strip and edge of garment into folder.

• 2) Guides edge of garment under needle to hem garment and enclose elastic strip in hem.

• 3) May operate machine equipped with different type of folder to either enclose elastic in binding or in folded tape at garment edge.

• 4) Performs other duties as described under SEWING-MACHINE OPERATOR, REGULAR EQUIPMENT Master Title.
