Job Description:

• 1) Obtains and grinds samples of tobacco leaves used in making moisture tests: Pulls leaves from hands of tobacco at discharge end of redrying machine or extracts sample of tobacco strips from hogsheads or shipping cartons, using electric auger.

• 2) Feeds sample into grinder.

• 3) Pours ground tobacco into container, places container in tumbler, starts tumbler to mix ground sample, and labels container showing date, machine, hogshead number, grade, and time collected.

• 4) May only extract and label samples for grinding and be designated Sample Driller.
