Job Description:

• 1) Repairs mechanical portion of railway-track switches: Sweeps dirt from switch with broom, and oils parts.

• 2) Examines switches for worn or broken parts.

• 3) Adjusts mechanical parts of pull-chain switches, using handtools.

• 4) Replaces defective parts, using handtools.

• 5) May work as member of emergency work crew.
