Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in fabricating surgical garments, such as trusses, hosiery, knee and elbow braces, corsets, and belts: Assigns workers to duties, such as laying out, cutting, sewing, and assembling surgical garments.

• 2) Trains new employees.

• 3) Inspects garments at various stages of production to verify conformance to specifications.

• 4) Consults with management and orthopedic specialists and reads trade journals to develop new products.

• 5) Requisitions materials and supplies.

• 6) Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
