Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in washing, centrifuging, and melting bulk raw sugar: Reads production schedule and consults with SUPERVISOR, FILTRATION to ascertain quantity of liquor required.

• 2) Calculates melting rates of raw sugar, using standard formula.

• 3) Moves controls to set timing cycles on centrifuges and start machinery, such as elevators, scrolls, and pumps.

• 4) Inspects process stations to verify that equipment and machinery are operating as specified.

• 5) Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.

• 6) May supervise workers engaged in reclaiming contaminated sugars and syrups and be designated Supervisor, Remelt.
