Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in molding lumps, plugs, or twists of chewing tobacco: Reads production schedules for information, such as quantity of plugs or twists and type of blend and wrapper leaf specified.

• 2) Computes amount of filler and wrapper leaf required for production.

• 3) Examines plugs and twists to detect variations from standards.

• 4) Schedules cleaning and repairing of lump-making machines to avoid interruptions of production.

• 5) Coordinates receipt of tobacco from casing and drying department and transfer of plugs to shipping department.

• 6) Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
