Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, industrial, or other establishments, such as schools, stores, or auditorium: Assigns tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards.

• 2) Issues supplies and equipment.

• 3) Resolves workers' problems or refers matters to supervisor.

• 4) Trains new workers, records hours worked, recommends discharge of incompetent workers, and performs other personnel duties as required.

• 5) May submit requests for repair of cleaning equipment to SUPERINTENDENT, BUILDING.

• 6) May hire new employees.

• 7) May requisition or purchase cleaning supplies and equipment.

• 8) May perform duties of workers supervised.

• 9) May supervise employees of public school system and be designated Supervisor, Maintenance And Custodians.
