Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in producing various types of carbon black by partial combustion of crude oil or natural gas, or mixtures of both, in furnace-process plants.

• 2) Interprets process specifications to subordinates according to types of carbon black to be produced.

• 3) Observes meters and gauges and reviews operating reports to verify control of process.

• 4) Trains workers in furnace operation.

• 5) Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
