Job Description:

  • 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining central records files: Directs and assists workers in storing, retrieving, checking, correcting, and copying paper documents, microfilm, or other company records.

  • 2) Directs workers in searching files to retrieve lost or missing records, utilizing knowledge of frequent filing errors.

  • 3) Routes erroneously removed files to workers for refiling.

  • 4) Directs and assists workers in periodic disposal of obsolete files, following company policy and legal requirements.

  • 5) Conducts and coordinates studies of files and filing system as directed by management.

  • 6) May recommend changes in work procedures to improve filing-system efficiency.

  • 7) May supervise workers engaged in microfilming records.

  • 8) Performs duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
