Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in raising and caring for animals used in development of pharmaceutical products in pharmaceutical research and manufacturing facility: Visits animal maintenance areas and observes and discusses animal care, such as feeding, treatment, and breeding, with workers to identify problems or recommend changes.

• 2) Prepares reports that indicate activity of unit, such as purchases, absenteeism of workers, and animal treatment.

• 3) Contacts approved vendors to order and schedule arrival of animals, animal food, and equipment.

• 4) Trains and observes workers in job duties and safety precautions.

• 5) Contacts designated personnel to recruit new personnel or for repair of equipment.

• 6) Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
