Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in investigating complaints of cruelty to animals, inspecting establishments housing animals and monitoring public exhibitions featuring animals to enforce humane laws: Assigns ANIMAL TREATMENT INVESTIGATORS to geographical work areas to investigate complaints.

• 2) Inspects workers for proper attire.

• 3) Telephones or writes to complainants to resolve complaints or to obtain additional information.

• 4) Directs worker to investigate emergency complaints received, using telephone or two-way radio.

• 5) Advises public and workers of provisions and applications of humane laws.

• 6) Interviews and recommends hiring and firing of employees.

• 7) Maintains records of workers' daily activities and submits records to superior.

• 8) Supervises on-the-job training for new workers.
