Job Description:

• 1) Operates stone-spreading machine to lay gravel, stone, and cold-mix asphalt on road surfaces: Hooks spreader to rear of dump truck and trips truck tailgate latch.

• 2) Signals DUMP-TRUCK DRIVER to hoist dump body and dump material into spreader hopper.

• 3) Adjusts hopper opening to ensure required amount of material is deposited on road surface.

• 4) Drags material from truck bed, using shovel, to distribute material along length of hopper.
