Job Description:

• 1) Appraises and cuts planed lumber to width or length to obtain clear-faced pieces: Adjusts stops of cutoff saw or ripsaw to required distances.

• 2) Starts machine and inspects lumber stock for imperfections.

• 3) Pushes lumber past saw, cutting away undesired parts and cutting acceptable pieces to desired lengths or widths.

• 4) May be designated according to type of saw used as Cut-Off-Saw Grader; Ripsaw Grader.
