Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that cuts staves or strips for slat baskets from sheets of veneer: Turns nuts, using handtools, to adjust frequency of clipping blade descent onto veneer sheet.

• 2) Starts conveyor to carry veneer sheets under knife that automatically cuts sheets into staves or strips.

• 3) Removes staves or strips from machine and examines them for defects and conformance to standards, using ruler.
