Job Description:

• 1) Solders metal components, using electric-ultrasonic soldering equipment: Positions component in fixture.

• 2) Preheats joint area to temperature above solder melting point, using oxy-fuel torch.

• 3) Turns dials to set intensity and duration of ultrasonic impulse, according to work order specifications.

• 4) Pushes button to turn on electric-ultrasonic equipment.

• 5) Fills joint with solder and positions ultrasonic horn on outside of joint to transfer energy impulse from equipment to workpiece, to bond solder and base metal.
