Job Description:

• 1) Tends agitation tanks that mix copper ore slime and acid solution preparatory to precipitation of copper: Turns valves to regulate flow of slime and sulfuric acid from storage tanks into agitation tanks.

• 2) Tests samples of solution for alkalinity or acidity, using filter paper, or by means of titration.

• 3) Combines samples of solution from various stages of process for laboratory analysis.

• 4) May dry, grind, or screen combined sample.
