Job Description:

• 1) Inspects wooden shuttles before attachment of parts for defects in material and work quality: Measures exterior and interior dimensions of shuttles, using calipers, gauges, squares, and rulers, to ensure conformance to specifications.

• 2) Examines surfaces of shuttles for defects, such as knots, splits, and scratches, and returns defective shuttles for repairs.

• 3) May attach metal shuttle tips to wooden shuttles.
