Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that separates shell particles and sand from shellfish meats, by water and air agitation, preparatory to blanching and canning or freezing: Turns valves to admit water and air to separator vat as shelled meats are dumped into it from peeling machine or by another worker.

• 2) Adjusts air volume and operating time according to bulk and cleanliness of meats in vat.

• 3) Moves floating meats to conveyor by hand, or by using wooden paddle.

• 4) Drains vat to remove shells and sand from bottom.
