Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that washes and dries twine: Turns valve to admit soap solution to starch pots of machine and to admit steam to drying cylinder.

• 2) Creels machine with bobbins of twine and threads twine through starch pots and drying cylinder.

• 3) Attaches ends of twine to takeup bobbins.

• 4) Starts machine and observes movement of twine through machine and onto takeup bobbins to detect malfunctions, such as tangles and breaks.

• 5) Doffs bobbins of cleaned twine.

• 6) Scrapes accumulations of dried soap from machine.
