Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that saturates rolls of untreated roofing felt with hot, liquid asphalt: Threads felt through machine rollers and starts machine.

• 2) Turns wheels and moves levers to regulate machine speed, flow of asphalt, and tension on felt and press rollers.

• 3) Presses control button to regulate flow of felt to ensure uniform saturation and prevent damage of felt.

• 4) Tears test pieces from saturated felt to verify specified degree of saturation.
