Job Description:

  • 1) Rents safe-deposit boxes to bank customers: Interviews customer to obtain information necessary to open account.

  • 2) Types rental contract and obtains customer signature.

  • 3) Collects initial rental fee from customer and writes receipt.

  • 4) Issues safe-deposit box key to customer.

  • 5) Files safe-deposit records, such as signature cards, rental contract, and access slips to vault.

  • 6) Admits customer to safe-deposit vault.

  • 7) Orders replacements for lost keys.

  • 8) Schedules repairs for safe-deposit box locks.

  • 9) Contacts vendor to forcibly open safe-deposit box when necessary, such as when customer loses key.

  • 10) Receives and records customer payment of yearly safe-deposit fee.

  • 11) May record box rental information, payment, and account changes, using computer terminal.

  • 12) May perform clerical duties.
