Job Description:

• 1) Forms rubber wax injection molds by vulcanizing pieces of rubber around metal sample: Places metal sample into frame and packs raw rubber around sample.

• 2) Clamps sample, frame, and rubber into vulcanizing machine.

• 3) Turns on machine, waits specified time, and removes mold from machine.

• 4) Splits mold into two pieces to remove metal sample, using knife or scalpel.

• 5) Inspects mold for defects.

• 6) May form investment molds around wax patterns.

• 7) May operate centrifugal casting machine.

• 8) May burn grooves or crevices in mold to correct defects, using soldering gun.
