Job Description:

• 1) Operates machine to flatten and taper heated ends of spring leaf blanks to specified dimensions: Installs dies in upper and lower plates of press and adjusts pressure of rollers, using wrenches and gauges.

• 2) Heats end of spring blank in furnace and places it on stationary die plate.

• 3) Pulls lever to flatten end to specified width.

• 4) Holds compressed end between cam-shaped rollers that grip and taper end to specified thickness.
